Der Global Service Jam vom 17. - 19. März 2023 in Köln

Vom 17. bis 19. März veranstalten wir vom Innovationsbüro der Stadt Köln den Global Service Jam!

Wir sind damit eine*r von zahlreichen Ausrichter*innen weltweit und erarbeiten gemeinsam neue Lösungsansätze, wie beispielsweise zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit oder Stadtentwicklung – und Du bist herzlich eingeladen.

From March 17 to 19, the Innovation Office of the City of Cologne will be hosting the Global Service Jam!

We are one of numerous hosts worldwide and will be working together to develop new solutions, for example on the topic of sustainability or urban development – and you are warmly welcomed to join us.

Unter der Leitung von Moderator*innen werden wir gemeinsam mit Bürger*innen, Expert*innen und Mitarbeitenden der Kölner Stadtverwaltung erste Lösungen entwerfen, die von allen im Anschluss genutzt und weiterentwickelt werden können. In interdisziplinären Teams werden wir mit Hilfe von Methoden aus dem Service Design Thinking Prototypen unserer Ideen entwickeln und testen. Es werden handfeste Konzepte erarbeitet, frei nach dem Motto „doing, not talking!“

Die Fragestellung ist geheim und wird erst zu Beginn des Jams verkündet. Der Grund dafür liegt in der Natur des Formats, denn ein Jam beschreibt spontanes, gemeinsames und kreatives Schaffen. Spontanität ist der Schlüssel, um unvoreingenommen neue und innovative Lösungen entwickeln zu können.

Guided by facilitators, we will work together with citizens, experts and employees of the Cologne city administration to design solutions that can be used and further developed by anyyone afterwards. In interdisciplinary teams, we will develop and test prototypes of our ideas with Service Design Thinking tools. Tangible concepts will be developed, according to the principle "doing, not talking!"

The topic is secret and will be announced at the beginning of the jam. The reason for this lies in the nature of the format, because a jam is a spontaneous, collaborative and creative process. Spontaneity is the key to being able to develop new and innovative solutions in an unbiased way.

Um Dich nicht ganz im Dunkeln tappen zu lassen, haben wir ein paar Fragen vorformuliert, die wir zusätzlich oder zusammen mit der geheimen Aufgabenstellungen behandeln könnten:

• Wie können wir Ressourcenkreisläufe in Köln schließen?
• Wie können wir eine “essbare” Stadt schaffen und als selbstorganisierte Gemeinschaft für sie sorgen?
• Wie können Veedel nachhaltiger werden / Nachhaltigkeit promoten?
• Wie können wir Wasserknappheit begegnen?

In order not to leave you in the dark, we have pre-formulated a few questions that we could deal with in addition to or along the secret topic:

• How might we close resource loops in Cologne?
• How might we create an "edible" city and care for it in self-organized communities?
• How might neighbourhoods become more sustainable / promote sustainability?
• How might we address water scarcity?

Die Teilnahme am Service Jam Köln ist kostenlos und für Essen und Getränke ist gesorgt. Am 17. März werden wir den Jam offiziell um 18 Uhr im ZukunftsLabor der Stadt Köln (Ludwigstraße 8, 50667 Köln) eröffnen. Den gesamten Samstag sowie den Sonntagvormittag arbeiten wir gemeinsam an Ideen bis uns die Köpfe rauchen!

Participation in the Service Jam Cologne is free of charge. Food and drinks will be provided. On March 17th, we will officially open the Jam at 6 p.m. at the ZukunftsLabor of the city of Cologne (Ludwigstraße 8, 50667 Cologne). The whole Saturday and Sunday morning we will be working together on different ideas until our heads are spinning!
